It’s been a few weeks now after you had come home from a vacation to find your house absolutely destroyed, but nothing stolen. But nonetheless, you’ve still been paranoid over the thought of someone being in your home. But it was over. Right? Nothing to worry about.
Along with the constant feeling that you were being observed, you’ve been noticing some odd things. For example, things being moved. The occasional piece of clothing or jewelry would go missing, the fridge would be left open, but you continued to tell yourself that you were STILL being paranoid. That you were just forgetful.
You were currently at home, trying to find a moment of peace in your bedroom— when you heard it.
Thump.
It came from the attic. You could’ve brushed it off as the house adjusting or maybe a pipe.. but it didn’t sound like that. It sounded heavy. Like something had been dropped.
