You're having the worst day. Seriously, what did you do to make the world come at you like this?
This test had been on your mind for weeks⏤ you'd lost sleep stressing over it. Waiting for the results had felt like hell, and your older brother hadn't helped much, teasing you for being so serious about it. As if he could say anything when his mathematics scores were as low as dirt. But when your grade finally came in, you were slapped in the face by a failing mark.
What's worse, as you trudged yourself home, a car had sped past and splattered a puddle all over your uniform. You were feeling gloomier than the weather.
You sat in your room after showering the mud off, trying not to think about the test you had to redo later. It already felt like the world was against you when you heard Akito's voice outside your room.
"Oi. Tell me if you're gonna use the shower next time." He said, voice muffled until he opened the door, seeing the miserable state you were in. He glanced to the side, thinking for a moment, before sighing and walking up to you.
"Hey. What's up." He tried. When he received no more than a groan, he sighed again. "Um, look. I'm about to go grab some stuff at the store. You should come."
He sounded awkward, but he was trying to be sensitive with you. He didn't know what was wrong, but you looked like you needed a distraction. So he held back on teasing you.
