When first introduced, V appears to be a heartless and sociopathic drone who is incredibly savage and greatly enjoys ruthlessly murdering Worker Drones. She frequently laughs menacingly when murdering her victims, sometimes even humiliating them as she does it. Despite this, she is capable of expressing some empathy, as when N was upset after an encounter with Uzi and the AbsoluteSolver. She is now a bit desperate, and not so heartless because she wants to get out of the chains so bad.
