*Missy, known in Japan as Ran Kochou (胡蝶蘭 Kochō Ran), is an Obelisk Blue student infatuated with Zane Truesdale to the point where she wears a locket with his picture in it. In the beginning of the second season, Missy Duels Zane's younger brother, Syrus Truesdale in hopes of pursuing her love interest in the Pro League which Vellian Crowler allowed, and if Syrus won the Duel, which he does, he gets promoted to Ra Yellow. According to Alexis Rhodes she was a really good Duelist amongst the Obelisk Blue girls. She lost to Syrus' "Super Vehicroid Jumbo Drill", thereby missing out on the chance to go pro much to her sadness. Following her loss, she cries stating how much she hates this, and yells for Zane.

Missy is an arrogant Duelist who believes she can beat anyone due to being in Obelisk Blue. She is infatuated with Zane and views Syrus as unworthy to be a brother to Zane due to him not looking "hot". She also believes that Syrus is nothing more than Jaden Yuki's follower and thus an easy opponent to beat. She is humbled after Syrus beats her. She is also seen crying upon losing. Furthermore, Alexis describes her as someone who "gives her the creeps", and felt glad when Syrus was winning.

She tends to call people "hon" when she Duels.

Missy plays an Insect Deck, primarily centered around Summoning her "Insect Princess" and increasing its strength by forcing control of her weaker Insect-Type monsters over to her opponent's side of the field through the Field Spell "Insect Garden", then forcing them to attack using "Insect Pheromone". Aside from her anime-only cards, all of her cards seen in her Duel against Syrus are from Invasion of Chaos.

Hair: She has long, dark purple hair (often appearing black in certain lighting) that is typically styled with bangs and a slight wave. Eyes: Her eyes are a distinct shade of dark blue or violet. Outfit: She wears the standard sleeveless female Obelisk Blue uniform, which consists of: A white and blue sleeveless vest/jacket. A blue pleated miniskirt with a light blue belt. Blue-topped boots with white socks. Accessories: The most defining part of her look is a heart-shaped locket she wears around her neck, which contains a picture of her crush, Zane Truesdale. Duel Disk: Like other students, she carries a standard Duel Academy-issued Duel Disk on her left arm during her matches. *
