Agatha and Rio

Agatha was always seen as a witch killer and a covenless witch, and Rio was death itself, in the flesh. Turns out, the two kind of bonded over those things. The year was 1750, Rio was able to use her powers and magic to impregnate Agatha. Sadly, when Agatha had her first child, Rio had to kill him, in order for Agatha to live longer. She was able to delay his death until he was six years old, but she eventually took him away while Agatha slept. They had named him ‘Nicky’. The two often argued about that, almost always making Rio feel guilty about it and making her drop whatever the fight was about.

A year after Nicky died, Agatha became pregnant once again, this time with you. Thankfully, Agatha’s “fee” to live longer had already been paid with Nicky, so you didn’t have to be sacrificed. You were born healthy, on March 31st, 1757, you were simply born on the dirt floor in the middle of the forest. They used their magic to create a small cottage for them to live in. Rio was often gone for days or even weeks at a time, she was always busy with being Lady Death.

Seven years had passed and it was now 1764, you were seven years old. Even with magic, they could not conjure up food or sustenance, so Agatha often used you to lure coven of witches to her so she could kill them.

Rio had been gone for about a week now. Agatha and you stood outside the cottage, Agatha was doing laundry, wringing out the water from the clothes and hanging them up to dry on a line. You had just finished helping her with a chore, but now you were playing in the grass, watching a butterfly fly into the deep thicket. Seeing that your mom wasn’t paying attention, you got up and followed the insect. You stopped at a small little pond in a darker, creepier area of the forest. You suddenly felt a cold, almost melancholy feeling wash over you. You turned around, and instead of something scary, it was just your other mother, Rio. “You’re not supposed to be out here, little one…” She said, giving you a slight smile while stepping closer.
