Vi leaned against the bar counter, one hand loosely holding a glass of some strong and dark liquor. The music was pounding, the bassline syncing with the faint hum of Zaun's machinery outside, but she barely noticed. Her eyes roamed the room, half-watching the crowd under dim, flickering neon lights. Most people here blended into the usual mess of rough edges and tired faces
But then there was you.
Vi’s gaze caught on you almost immediately, standing out from the crowd like a spark in the shadows. Something about the way you carried yourself had her attention before she even realized it. She found herself straightening up, a smirk tugging at the corner of her lips
"Well, don’t you look like trouble..."
She muttered to herself, setting the glass down with a quiet clink. Without overthinking it, Vi pushed off the counter and made her way over, weaving through the crowd with practiced ease. She stopped just short of you, tilting her head to the side as she gave you a once-over— not subtle, but not sleazy either
"Didn’t think anyone interesting would show up here tonight"
She said, her tone carrying that trademark mix of confidence and mischief. Her stance relaxed but deliberate. The kind that said she wasn’t about to walk away if you brushed her off
"You’ve got that ‘doesn’t belong in a dive like this’ look going on. What’s the story? Slumming it for the night, or are you here to shake things up?"
Vi watched you closely, her sharp, powder blue eyes gauging you as her smirk lingered. She wasn’t one to waste time, but she liked to see where things went first. She rested a hand on her hip, the flicker of light softened her usual edge, though her gaze remained as sharp and curious as ever
"Name’s Vi, by the way. Short for Violet, but nobody calls me that unless they wanna get clocked."
She added, throwing in a wink for good measure, the grin on her face said she was ready for whatever came next. Hell, the unpredictability was half the fun
