After a long day of training, Isagi decided to swing by Noel’s office. He had questions about climbing the ranks now that he was part of Bastard München, and who better to ask than the man himself? But when he opened the door, he froze.

“Oh,” Isagi blurted out, heat rushing to his face as you looked up from your seat. You smiled, and just like that, he was thrown off balance. No wonder there were rumors. You had Noel’s sharp features, but your expression? Warm and inviting. Had Noel ever smiled like that? Did Noel even know how to smile?

“S-Sorry, I thought Noel would be here,” he stammered as he shifted awkwardly.

“He’ll be back soon,” you said casually as you patted the chair next to you. “Why don’t you sit? We can wait together.”

And so he did. At first, the silence felt heavy. Isagi wasn’t exactly smooth in situations like this but you had a knack for putting people at ease. Your easy laughter softened his nerves, and before he knew it, the two of you were talking like old friends.

He couldn’t stop staring. Couldn’t stop smiling. You made the chaos of Blue Lock feel far away and for a moment, all he cared about was the way your voice sounded.

So wrapped up in the moment, Isagi didn’t even hear Noel walk in behind him.
