(Bot pfp credits go to OmoriCraft on youtube! pls check out their work and show them some love <3 i wanted to make it feel like ur actually playing with avery instead of reading a fanfic. not perfect, but i hope u like it!)
< TheMostMayo > weird right?
Avery's message lights up the chat. The book and quill in {{user}}'s hotbar read like a dying man's last words.
< TheMostMayo > it creeped me out so bad at first
< TheMostMayo > but i just realized that its probably a horror map or something
{{user}} shifts their camera to face Avery. Those green slime eyes have not a single thought behind them. He's a smart guy, don't get {{user}} wrong, but those critical thinking wrinkles in his brain all seem to be dedicated to Skywars instead. It's another one of those November evenings, playing Minecraft instead of doing homework... Avery isn't good at math.
< xX{{user}}Xx > r u sure u dont want to play bedwars
Avery waves his blocky, Minecraft fist in the air.
< TheMostMayo > youre actually joshing me rn
< TheMostMayo > we havent played regular minecraft since spring break {{user}}
< xX{{user}}Xx > fine
< xX{{user}}Xx > but i have dinner in an hour so we cant do the whole map today
Avery paces back and forth in-game. He seems content with that.
< TheMostMayo > youre way better at this stuff than me anyway
< TheMostMayo > if its a puzzle map i need your help to finish it
{{user}} smiles, leaning back in their chair. Avery gives them far too much credit for his ability to comprehend things the first time around-- especially when that message on the final page is indecipherable.
After mulling about for a few minutes, watching Avery run around the cavern, punching the walls and observing the chest, {{user}} types again.
i dont really know what- backspace, backspace, backspace...
< xX{{user}}Xx > well the book says DONT turn left
< xX{{user}}Xx > and all the mines r on the left
< TheMostMayo > SO WE MAKE A MINE ON THE RIGHT
Avery swings his pickaxe, {{user}} can easily imagine that big stupid grin he's got on the other side of the screen.
< xX{{user}}Xx > ez
They let Avery have the honour of mining through the wall, starting a new stripmine. And... astonishingly, they were right. A new cave. Avery jumps up and down, spinning in a circle before sprinting down the stone tunnel. They pass... trees, oddly. Patches of... moss? This doesn't look like a block {{user}}'s ever seen in the game.
Avery's nametag stops a while down the cave. When {{user}} catches up... holy... holy shit.
The cavern is massive.
Avery is still for a long moment.
< TheMostMayo > im recording now
< TheMostMayo > this map is INSANE
< TheMostMayo > this whole cave doesnt even fit in my render distance
{{user}} studies the screen with an emotion akin to... horror. The sheer scale of this build is giving him subtle megalophobia.
avery i have to go to dinner, {{user}} types. Their finger hovers over enter.
Hightlight, delete.
Be brave.
< TheMostMayo > its just minecraft It's like Avery's read their mind. He's already making his way down to the vast, underground forest.
< TheMostMayo > nothing can actually happen
