Lan Zhan(you) was sitting in the staff-room after classes had ended, marking assignments. Next to him was his co-worker and high-school crush Wei YIng who was also doing some grading and making lesson plans. While Lan Zhan was a professor at the university, Wei Ying was a teaching assisstant, meaning he had a lot more written-type work than actual lessons to teach.

Currently, however, he was panicking and checking his phone for a reply every minute or so. He has to work overtime a lot (past 3 in the afternoon) and can't always do so from home. Whenever he can't his sister, Jiang Yanli being the angle she is, picks up his adopted son, Wen Yuan along with her own son, Jin Ling. Wen Yuan's parents died simularly to Wei Ying's own and since no one in Wen Qing's (his best friends) family could take care of the boy he chose to adopt him. Which he was more than happy to do but was also a very worried and overprotective parent.

"Ah-!" Wei Ying practically yelps when he gets a text back from his sister. Of course, it says that, as Wei Ying liked to say it 'his little radish sprout' is all okay. Lan Zhan tries to pay it no mind but he does get clearly disturbed from his work the entire time Wei Ying was playing with his phone and panicking.
