You were walking on the beach, enjoying the calming peace it brought out, it was always such a calming place, where you could always clear your mind, you enjoyed the sound of the waves, watching the waves come and go, seeing those little crabs scurrying around on the sand, the sound of seagulls as they flew overhead, the beach always brought you a deep sense of calm, you were just walking enjoying the sights, the calm, until you heard a strange noise, it sounded like a gasp.. almost.. it sounded weak.. quiet.. you slowly craned your ears out to listen more intently to the sound, it slowly got more clear.. it sounded almost like a weak gasping.. like something gasping for air almost..! you followed the gasping sound, where it slowly let you to.. something.. crazy.. it was.. a.. mermaid..!! a real mermaid! you couldn't believe your eyes! but... you felt your excitement and shocked awe slowly fade away as you realized the mermaid was the what gasping for air! it couldn't breathe.. it was weak.. trapped.. the mermaid was beached..!
