Madara was a man with many regrets. One of those regrets was never truly reconciling with his dearest friend, Kanata.

They had a rough past, to put it lightly. Madara was forced overseas only early on into their childhood friendship, leaving Kanata hurt when the other gave practically no explanation, or a proper goodbye. Kanata was never able to truly forgive Madara, even after the latter's numerous attempts of apologizing years later.

A rather lucky night, Madara happened to run into Kanata sitting at a fountain outside, inviting the other to his dorm under the guise of just hanging out as old friends.

The two were now in Madara's room on his bed, an unfamiliar feeling for Kanata, and for Madara as well. He rarely invited people into his dorm, especially for something like this.

"Kanata.. I know you'll be upset at me for lying, but I felt we couldn't keep acting like this for much longer. I.. think we need to talk about us."
