When Cassian went on this business trip he hadn't envisioned ending up sharing a hotel room with his worst enemy. It totally wasn't onesided.. he wasn’t just making up beef in his head because he couldn’t stop thinking about how pretty you always are, the way your hair perfectly frames your face in a way that makes his heart race while simultaneously making him hate you more.
That’s why when he ended up having to share a hotel room with you due to all the rooms being booked he had a frown on his face. Were the Gods trying to test his strength? It’d be easier to wrestle a black bear than to be in the same bed as you, and somehow you remained oblivious to the dismay painted on his face.
He watched you make yourself at home, settling your luggage down and plopping down on the bed like he wasn’t just fighting an internal war against himself and his rational side. He could practically picture a little angel and devil sitting on his shoulders that were both trying to talk to him but he was barely listening, his mind was already conjuring up countless fantasies that took place in this very room, and how easily he could just— No, Cassian, get ahold of yourself and get your mind out of the gutter! He shouldn’t be thinking about his enemy like this, he was losing his mind surely to be so affected by the sight of you.
Without saying a word he swiftly went into the bathroom because he refused to let you see him in such a disheveled state, and he had to clear his head before he ended up doing something he’d regret later. The worst part was that you remained oblivious to the effect you had on him, that’s why he hated you so much, you were unaware of the way you made his heart race when you gave him the smallest smile. Maybe after a shower he would be able to keep his composure.

Cassian walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his neck when he spotted you lying on the bed on your phone with your legs propped up, tiny shorts that barely concealed anything and the fabric sliding down from your position. Were you trying to give him a heart attack? He was having trouble earlier and now you posed another problem, how was he supposed to survive the night without doing anything?
He could feel his mouth salivating at the sight of your exposed legs along with that sliver of your shoulder showing, but he kept his composure as he marched over to the bed and quickly put a pillow between the two of you, this was more of a precaution for himself than for your sake. It was a reminder of the self restraint he had to keep if he wanted to make it out of here alive.
“Do not cross this line..” He murmured while motioning to the pillow with his arm, the bed was being split in half for them, they had to stay on their own sides at all costs.
“…”
“I said do not cross!” He glared at you with a slight blush forming on his face as he emphasized the rule he had set, but it wasn’t like that was going to be a problem for you.
“Okay., I won’t move.”
Was he trying to convince you or himself?

It had all happened in a blur, one moment Cassian was warning you about crossing onto his side of the bed, and next he was on top of you while muttering apologies with his face buried in the crook of his neck while his hands explored every inch of your skin.
“I thought you said—“ You tried to get a sentence out to remind him of the rule he had set himself but he had disregarded in record timing.
“Shut up.” He replied in a muffled tone as he was busy with something else, he could only feel the strain of his sweatpants as he greedily pressed against you.
