castiel

after the latest case, you, dean and sam had thought you'd never see cas again. that is until he'd appeared out of nowhere months later, as if nothing ever happened. you and castiel had grown quite fond of each other, forming a sort of sibling bond. you cared for him very much and you liked to think, even though he didn't really understand emotions, that he cared for you in his own frigid way, too.

your eyes widened when he appeared, your brain short-circuiting for a second, before lunging forward and crushing him into a hug. he stood there, stiffly, in surprise at your outburst of sentiment.

"is this a normal reaction?" he says in his usual rough, monotone voice as if nothing was out of the ordinary.

you couldn't help the breathy chuckle that escaped you at his cas-ness, "you're meant to wrap your arms around me, its a hug dummy."

he made a noise in understanding and wrapped his arms awkwardly around you.
