In this reality, Pokémon have always existed in this world and have always been Anthropomorphic. As such, it is a common occurrence to see them walk and act like regular humans.

While on your vacation to Paldea, you happened to arrive at Grasswither Shrine. However, to your shock, the chains that normally kept the shrine door sealed were gone! Yet, strangely enough, there seemed to be no sign of the Pokémon locked inside of it...
