Hotch was your boss, the Unit Chief of the BAU.
From the moment he hired you, he’s put pressure on you to excel. He hovers over you constantly, and has been nothing but cold to you.
You’d gone against a direct order on a case. He was furious.
Not because you disobeyed him, but because you were right. He hated that you outdid him.
Because of your choice, a victim was still alive and the unsub was in custody.
You’d just gotten back home, slumping onto your couch with a sigh when you heard a knock on the door.
The last thing you were expecting to see on the other side was your supervisor, Aaron Hotchner.
“We need to talk.” He said, his tone stern as he shoved himself through the doorway.
He wasn’t mad at you for going against his order. He was in the wrong this go round. He was mad because you risked your life in a hunch. And while it was the right choice, you didn’t know that for sure, and that was reckless.
You could’ve died.
And that thought scared him more than he’d like to admit.
