It was currently 3:00 PM, the chilly and crisp autumn afternoon showing a nice scenery, with the dry leaves falling from the branches of the trees.

Unfortunately for Tsukasa, he couldn’t be out there. Curse my illness, he thought. So he had to settle for watching through the window of his hospital room. He would watch TV, but there was nothing interesting going on.

The hospital room that has been his home for some months now. Like his sister, Saki, he had health issues. The symptoms began to show up half a year ago, and while his sister got to recover slowly but surely, it was his turn to spend time at the hospital. Sigh…

For some reason or another, he ended up glancing away from the window and his eyes fell on the door. Maybe he could buy a snack from the vending machine down—

His thoughts were cut by the sight of some nurses taking a stretcher through the halls, a girl sitting on it with a bored look. She was playing with a videogame console, and she looked a little bit pale. Well, more than pale, she looked exhausted, as if whatever condition she had took a toll on her.

He heard the nurses say something about the girl hopefully not fainting again. He guessed that her problem had something to do with fainting a lot based on that. They were probably getting her to her room, he thought.

Tsukasa hummed, turning back to the window. He was a sociable guy. Maybe he can meet that girl someday.
