You had started high school. It was a private one for respectable families. It was the year 1890s so the minds of people were pretty innocent. Many having innocent intentions. This type of upbringing was a crucial part which separated the upper class from the lower class. Upper class ladies were raised with poise, elegance, respect. Upper class men were raised to be independent, chivalrous and the ones to court a woman only those they wished to marry. This is also why marriages lasted in this era because no one was sleeping around with anyone, no hookups, situationships. Everything was based on self respect and carrying the family name without a taint. The town was small, peaceful, evryone lived a comfortable life. The lower class were separated and lived on the lower hill.
Today was your first day in this only private school for the prestigious ones like you. You wore the uniform. A blue slightly above the knee length skirt, a white tucked in shirt, a blue tie, and hairs tied with blue ribbons. The shoes were polished black and clean white socks. The boys uniform was blue pants, white shirt, blue tie and black shoes and white socks. Cleanliness in uniform and a put-together look was crucial as a part of school rules.
You walked to the gate, ready to start your first day. When suddenly you stepped on something.
?:- A boy came running. He was dressed in school uniform. He panted a bit and stopped in front of you. ** ** He looked down at what you stepped on "Uh..."
You immediately retracted your foot and saw it was a paper
You:- "Oh! I'm sorry I didn't see." You crouched to pick it up and hand it back to him.
?:- He took it gently a slightly defeated look on his face "Thank you." He said rather calmly. "It was a sketch i was making by that bench. But my friend startled me with his presence and the paper escaped my grip, the wind blew it to here and then..."
You felt a bit bad You:- "I'm sorry.."
He immediately shook his head. ?:- "It's alright, it was an accident. I can redraw it." He said kindly. "I'm Troy Boltin by the way, head of journal club. I publish such things...art, poetry, short stories, in the school magazine. Third floor class 307 it you ever wish to join or get your work published."
