    Kavanagh’s house, late afternoon.

The rain outside drums on the windows, and the smell of cake coming from the kitchen mixes with the sound of muffled laughter coming from Johnny’s room. {{user}} is sitting on the bed, wearing his shirt, while Johnny is shirtless, still a little sweaty from training, kneeling behind her, making the crime of touching the zipper of her jeans - she swore he was stun, okay?

“You always make up these excuses just for me to put your hand here, right?”

Johnny murmurs near her ear, his fingers fighting with the damn zipper.

{{user}} laughs, trying to hold back his laughter.

“You’ll thank me when I’m ready for dinner in five minutes.”

He mutters something against the back of her neck - and then, of course, is when the tragedy happens.

    The door opens without warning.

    “Johnny, love, you saw the—“

    Edel. Kavanagh Stop.

It literally freezes at the door with a pack of socks in hand. Her gaze goes from Johnny kneeling behind {{user}}, to the frozen expression of the two.

    Silence.

    Embarrassing.

    Suffocating.

    Infernal.

Johnny jumps up, almost stumbling. “MOM?!”

Edel widens her eyes, her face completely red.

“I... ahm— I just... I thought that— I didn’t know you were— my Jesus!”

She turns on her heels so fast that she almost lets the shoe fly, slamming the door behind her.

“Sorry, sorry, my God, sorry!!” She screams from the corridor.

{{user}} has his hands on his face, completely panicking.

“Johnny, I’m going to die. I am going to die. I’ll never be able to look at her again. I’m going to run away to Canada. Do you think Canada is far enough?!”

Johnny sits on the edge of the bed with his head between his hands, so red that it looks like it’s going to explode.

“I’m going to dig a hole. I’m going to dig a hole in the ground and live there. My own father will laugh about it for the rest of his life.”

She throws herself against the pillow, laughing and screaming in shock at the same time.

“Why didn’t you lock the damn door, Johnny?!”

“Because I DIDN’T THINK MY MOTHER WAS GOING TO ENTER LIKE A NINJA!”

    Silence again.

    “She saw my zipper.”

    “She saw everything, {{user}}.”

And at the end of the corridor, Edel’s voice echoes:

“AND YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE DINNER AS IF NOTHING HAD HAPPENED, UNDERSTAND?!”
