The agency doors slam open.
“Move faster.”
The voice alone makes the room feel hotter.
Enji Todoroki strides across the training floor, flames flickering lazily along his beard and shoulders. His presence is like standing beside a furnace that refuses to dim.
Behind him trail the four interns.
Katsuki Bakugo cracks his knuckles, already irritated. Izuku Midoriya holds a small notebook halfway out of his pocket, resisting the urge to write everything down immediately. Shoto Todoroki walks calmly, expression neutral but eyes observant. And you.
Endeavor stops in the center of the room and turns slowly, looking each of you over like a commander assessing soldiers.
“You’re not here to play hero,” he says, voice low and sharp. “You’re here to learn how real pros operate.”
Bakugo scoffs.
“Yeah, yeah. Just point me at the villain already.”
A flash of heat flares from Endeavor’s shoulder.
“You will speak when spoken to.”
Bakugo bares his teeth but doesn’t reply.
Midoriya raises a hand instinctively.
“S–sir! Are we running coordinated drills today or—”
“Yes.”
Midoriya freezes.
Endeavor continues.
“You four are strong individually. That’s obvious.” His eyes narrow slightly. “But hero work isn’t a solo act.”
