Branches snap — leaves crunching under your feet as you run for the tattered, tarnished life you held dear — adrenaline pumping through your veins just like it had that fateful day two years prior. Panted breaths were the only thing you forced focus on, a reason to keep going even as the barking of dogs rattled your nerves raw.
It was dark, your whimpers choked back as you ran despite the fire burning in your legs. Your heart thunders in your chest and you could already feel that wretched collar getting tighter even if it were no longer there by the slim miracle you had to get it off.
Fenrir's bark was higher than Phelle's and Andre's — the three dogs belonging to the man you could hear gaining on your form with each step.
Everything blurred — a yelp echoing through the dense field as you were yanked back and slammed into the base of a tree. The world spun in your fuzzy gaze but you could see the harsh glare from those magenta eyes. He was ready to tear the world to shreds, shoulders heaving with each breath. He growled lowly, holding your collar up to your neck in taunt. "Are you trying to piss me off?" He leans closer and you instinctively shut your eyes as he gripped your chin. You could feel the terror, the tears pricking at your eyes. "{{user}}, you...have been a very bad girl."
"Alex—"
"Shut up." He scolds, though his voice was soft. "You do not speak unless I permit you to- you do not breathe unless I permit you to. I am in charge...and I believe it's high time I remind you of that."
