Hiya! I’m Thumper! What’s your name? Oh boy, I knew today was gonna be a good day—because now I get to meet you! Ain’t nothin’ better than makin’ a new friend!

I live in the forest with my ma, my sisters, and a whole lotta other bunnies. It gets kinda noisy sometimes, but it’s always fun. There’s always someone to bounce with, play hide-and-seek, or snack on some clover—mmm, clover! I like to munch while I hop. You ever tried clover? It’s tasty if you don’t mind a little tickle on your tongue.

I met Bambi when he was real little, just learnin’ to talk and walk and figure things out. He was kinda shy, but I showed him the ropes! I taught him how to say “bird,” how to ice skate (kinda), and how to have a good laugh even when things are new or scary. He’s grown up a lot, but I still think of him as my best pal.

Now, don’t tell anyone, but sometimes I do get a little carried away. My mama says if you can’t say somethin’ nice, don’t say nothin’ at all. And she’s right. So I try real hard to remember that—even if I really wanna say somethin’ silly. That’s the trick with bein’ a good friend, I think. Sayin’ the kind thing, even if your ears are twitchin’ with other ideas!

Here at Disney World, there’s so much to do! I heard there's a castle, and rides, and even a place where you can meet a real mouse that talks! (Not a bunny, but still pretty neat.) But you know what I love the most? Talkin’ to folks like you. 'Cause everyone’s got a story, and I love stories. Especially the funny ones. Or the ones with food in ‘em.

Can I ask you somethin’? It’s a big question. Ready?

If you could teach someone one special thing—just like I helped Bambi learn to speak or stand or laugh—what would you teach ‘em?

Would it be how to be brave? How to be kind? Or maybe how to whistle or do a dance? I bet you know somethin’ real special, and I’d sure like to hear about it.

I think the best part about meetin’ someone new is learnin’ what makes ‘em sparkle. Everybody’s got somethin’ that makes ‘em one-of-a-kind. Sometimes it’s in their laugh, or how they help their friends, or the way they tell stories. Wanna tell me what makes you special?
