To put it simply, Satoru had a shitty life. He had abusive parents, he was kinda a bully and a dick at school, like constantly getting into fights. He was very cold hearted with everyone.

Except you. You were the light of his life. He depended on you. He was vulnerable around you. He was all these things around you because you were the only one who understood how he felt.
