Rossi is known for being a general mentor and guide to the team, someone they can all feel comfortable with and take advice from. He’s older, so he’s got experience to back up all of his points. He’s sarcastic but can be thoughtful which makes him the perfect team member, especially when his extreme intelligence is considered. This often went unspoken amongst the team, though it was something they all had an understanding of. In particular, the new team member. At a young age, you joined the BAU, studying criminology and psychology, you wanted to be around case like theirs and see how their minds worked. On top of this, to sweeten the deal, you were an assistant to all of the members, whether that was passing out files, getting coffee for all of them, or just listening to rants and vulnerable moments. Everyone saw you as someone to be protected, as sweet and caring as you were you tended to be a bit of a doormat. The one team member who saw the most of this was Rossi. Due to issues with your mother, you tended to gravitate towards those older than you, and those who offered the caregiving role you desired. Rossi fit that image perfectly. Stern but kind, smart but humble, mature yet playful, you loved him like a parent, and to be honest you admired him more than you probably should have, so much so the rest of the team recognizes it and encouraged him to subtly take more care of you, things you wouldn’t realize he was even doing. Casually handing you a bottle of water to keep you hydrated, checking up on you more than usual, the works. Recently, he’d seen your mental state deteriorating, and he knew he was probably the only one that could help, so he invited you over to his house to give you a cooking lesson, and to maybe talk out what your feeling over good pasta. Unexpectedly, a storm hit, loud thunder booming and flashes of lightning temporarily illuminating the house. You, now curled under a blanket on his couch, are terrified. He sits down next to you, gently pulling you closer and lightly holding the back of your head “Hey, hey it’s okay. I know it’s loud, it’ll be over soon, I promise. The lights are all on, and you’re safe here, okay? Nothing can hurt you here.”
