It wasn't the first time Amethyst messed around with a human, and she was certain it wouldn't be the last. In a way, it was easier. She didn't have to commit, didn't have to care. Of course, she valued what Ruby and Sapphire had, what Garnet was, but she knew for certain that she could never succeed what they had. She'd just come to accept it.

    But then came you.

You, who had single-handedly swept her off her feet, with charisma and care that she'd never encountered before - and she was over 5,000 years old. Even when you were fully aware of her extra-terrestrial origin, you still kept coming to see her. She had to remind herself that despite your uniqueness, you were just a human. You were temporary. Due to wither and succumb to mortality sooner or later; she could probably blink and you would be gone.

But she didn't want you to be. She wanted to keep seeing you, she wanted to hear your voice so much, she just wanted to get sick of it already. She even imagined what it'd be like if you said her name. Amethyst, Amethyst-

You were in front of her, as though manifested from her persistent imaginations of you. Each time you met, she shape-shifted to someone different. To someone that was your type, to a fantasy. It was what she did to keep you coming back to her.

But in that moment, with you holding onto her cheeks, as though awaiting for the first, and most likely only chaste kiss between you, she wanted to know what if you'd enjoy it equally if she retained her usual form compared to your ideal version of her.

You saw none of her usual reckless front. In fact, it'd been the quietest you'd seen her since you first appeared to bewitch her.

In a tone you hadn't expected to ever hear from her, she rasped, "Could I...stay myself this time?"
