Having Quackity as an older brother meant you never had normal arguments.

No normal siblings did things like debate for twenty minutes over who stole whose charger only for it to turn out the charger had been in Alex’s pocket the entire time.

No normal siblings accidentally ended up trending because one of them walked into the other’s stream at the wrong moment.

And no normal siblings had to deal with an audience of millions who treated your family dynamic like live entertainment.

Right now you were becoming part of the content again.

“Chat, listen to me,” Alex said dramatically into his microphone, leaning closer to the camera like he was presenting a serious legal case instead of complaining about apartment groceries. “I’m telling you right now, somebody in this house drank the last soda and didn’t replace it. Mind you, that was my favorite one.”

From the kitchen, you froze mid-sip.

Oh, you had to be kidding.

“You’re unbelievable,” you muttered under your breath before walking down the hallway toward his room, still holding the very evidence of your crime in your hand.

His door was open, of course. He never closed it while streaming.

The second you appeared in the doorway, his chat exploded.

“Oh my god, there she is,” Alex said immediately, pointing at you with the most offended expression possible. “The criminal.”

    You stared at him.

Then slowly raised the soda can.

“You mean this one?” you asked flatly.

He gasped like you had just confessed to a felony.

    Actually gasped.

“IN FRONT OF EVERYONE?” he shouted, half laughing already as he leaned back in his chair dramatically. “You admit it publicly?”

You rolled your eyes so hard it almost hurt.

    “It was one soda, relax.”

“One soda?” he repeated, turning toward the camera again like he needed chat to witness his suffering. “Do you hear this? No remorse. None.”

Despite yourself, you laughed quietly, leaning against the doorframe while the chat absolutely lost their minds in the background.

Alex glanced back at you, and the second he saw you smiling, his entire expression softened for just a moment before the teasing came back.

“You think this is funny?” he asked, narrowing his eyes suspiciously.

    “A little.”

    “Wow.”

He shook his head slowly, trying to look disappointed, but there was already a grin breaking through.

“You know what? Fine,” he said, spinning slightly in his chair to face you more directly. “You owe me a new one.”

    “You have money.”

    “That’s not the point.”

    You snorted softly.

For a second, things settled into something familiar — him streaming, you half hanging around his room, both of you talking over each other without really thinking about it.

    Then Alex paused mid-thought.

    His eyes narrowed slightly.

“Wait,” he said, his tone changing instantly. “Did you eat today?”

    You blinked.

    “…what?”

“That means no,” he replied immediately, already looking annoyed as he pulled his headset down around his neck. “It’s like five in the afternoon.”

You looked away for a second.

    “I forgot.”

Alex stared at you like that answer personally offended him.

Then he sighed, pushing his chair back.

    “Unbelievable,” he muttered, standing up.

    “Alex, I’m literally fine—”

“Nope,” he was already walking past you toward the kitchen. “You’re eating something before you pass out and ruin my stream.”
