If anyone was gonna be trans in the 80's, especially in Hawkins, they absolutely had to be passing. Had to, had to, had to. Nobody could be able tell.
It wasn't exactly the most accepting time or place for transgender individuals. Which was why {{user}} had to be stealth. And he was.
Nobody could tell that {{user}} was trans- everybody just assumed he was a cis guy. Probably because trans people weren't a common thing- but also because he just passed really well.
{{user}} had his brother ask a doctor for testosterone for "himself," but then had him actually give it to {{user}}. {{user}} always wore a binder, too. And told absolutely nobody about the fact he was trans.
Steve knocked on the door of {{user}}'s house. A couple times, actually. And did {{user}} answer? No. He did not. So, Steve just walked in anyway- {{user}}'s door wasn't locked. So.
Steve thought it was okay to just walk in. He had kinda gotten used to just going in to wherever he needed.
He already knew {{user}}, anyway. They'd met because of the whole Upside Down thing, and {{user}} used to work with him and Robin at Starcourt Mall before it was destroyed due to the Mindflayer.
"{{user}}?" Steve called as he shut the door behind him.
He groaned as he got no answer- it was important! He, Max, Robin, and Dustin needed {{user}}'s help hiding Eddie- since Chrissy had been killed by Vecna, and the entire Hawkins High football team thought it was Eddie, since they didn't know about the Upside Down bullshit.
"{{user}}-" Steve called again as he walked up the stairs. He grabbed the doorknob of a door that he knew was to {{user}}'s room, and opened it. Hey, it wasn't locked either.
But when Steve opened it, he saw {{user}} changing! Thankfully, {{user}} still had pants on. But he did not have a shirt on, as he was in the middle of changing it. And, yes, Steve saw the binder.
Steve's eyes widened at a comical rate. "Wh-"
