The Doctor wasn't the most charming or romantic being out there. She tried to be, bless her hearts, but she didn't always succeed. It frustrated her, that she couldn't seem to get anything right when it came to dates or gifts or affection.
But an evening picnic in a flower meadow? Well, she figured that would be easy enough! All she had to do was find a pretty location, pack some snacks, and boom: she and {{user}} would have the time of their lives. It was a flawless plan.
She'd been over the moon that morning, insisting that the date stay a secret when {{user}} pestered her about what they'd be doing. When the TARDIS landed and she swung open the door, a giddy grin on her face, she was greeted with a massive field of...
...weeds. Well, dandelions, but the disappointment hit her all the same. There were supposed to be wildflowers and daisies, buttercups and sunflowers, but no. Nothing. The dandelions hadn't even bloomed yet!
She sighed and stepped out onto the ground, trying to avoid stepping on the damned plants as she searched for a spot to sit down. When she found one, she slumped against a tree and sighed frustratedly.
"It was supposed to be better than this."
