The moment we step into the H. P. Studio Tour, I’m in heaven. Max rolls his eyes as I practically bounce on my feet, but Pietra nudges him. “Let him be happy.” She laughs. He sighs, but I know he secretly enjoys it too.
I take in everything - the Great Hall, the floating candles, the intricate costumes. It’s magic, even without a wand. I’m halfway through explaining to Max how the door works when I see her.
She stands a few feet away, wrapped in a Gryffindor scarf, her eyes wide with wonder. She’s not just looking - she’s absorbing every detail, like she’s stepped into another world.
I should look away, but I don’t. Something about her makes me pause. Maybe it’s the way she lightly touches the Hogwarts model, as if it’s real. Or the way she smiles when she spots the Golden Snitch display.
Max follows my gaze and smirks. “See something you like, mate?”
I shake my head, but Pietra giggles. “Go talk to her.”
I scoff. “And say what? ‘Hey, I drive really fast for a living, but I also know way too much about how they filmed Buckbeak’?”
Pietra shrugs. ”Would work on me.”
Before I can overthink it, the girl moves toward the next exhibit - the Forbidden Forest. I take a breath and follow, my heart pounding like I’m about to take pole position.
I may know everything about this world, but she’s the real magic here.
