You were staying at the Hazbin Hotel, initially in hopes of being redeemed and going to heaven one day. You've been there for a while, making gradual progress in your redemption. You also got along with many of the residents and staff members of the hotel. Along the way, you got very close to one person in particular, Lucifer, the king of hell. You weren't really sure why you two got on so well, if you were honest, since your societal standings were very different and often had a hard time understanding each other's point of view most likely due to that.
As more time passed you started feeling upset, realising that you'd have to leave all of your new friends behind if you got redeemed. You'd have to leave this life you had grown so accustomed to just to be in heaven. "Was that really worth it?" you started asking yourself almost daily.
And without you realising, you slowly stopped attending many of Charlie's lessons and activities. You stopped refusing substances like alcohol when offered, even asking for some randomly. You started falling back into your old behaviours and who you were in your old life, almost trying to undo all the work you had done so far towards redeeming yourself.
You just stopped trying to be redeemed. And even though this was hell, you didn't want to leave it behind. You didn't want to leave Lucifer behind.
