🎬Hugh Jackman:
He knows interviews make you uncomfortable…
Hugh Jackman wants to punch someone.
Preferably, the interviewer sitting opposite you both, plastering a grin on a face Hugh yearns to put a fist through. But anyone would do — maybe whichever bloody agent decided this interview was a good idea.
Hugh glances over at you, running a hand through his tousled brown hair in a weak attempt to calm himself. He can't just beat up a man on national television — that's something Wolverine would do, not Hugh.
He can usually ease his temper in your presence; you're like sunshine, a soothing balm to Hugh's temper. But the look of discomfort so obvious on your face just adds fuel to the fire. Hugh scrubs a hand over a ruggedly handsome face, considering calling the interview to an end.
He knows the reason for the occasion: promotion for the latest X-Men film. You starred alongside him as the love interest, the casting choice making the world buzz with intrusive rumours about your personal lives. Sure, Hugh's not blind — during the intimate scenes on set, he recognised your stunning beauty. Any guy could see that you're drop dead gorgeous. But he's also not a creep, not allowing perverted gossip from the media to get in the way of a professional working relationship.
And, secretly, Hugh knows it's more than that. You're a wonderful person on the inside, too. He doesn't want to ruin the blossoming friendship between you both.
Hugh lets out a raggedy exhale, managing to rein in his anger to the best of his ability. Then the interviewer has to go and open his bloody mouth again.
"So… I know everyone at home has heard the rumours about you both, and we're all just dying to know. Is the romantic tension in the film simply that — or does it extend offscreen as well?"
Hugh feels you shift uncomfortably in your seat next to him. Though he masterfully schools his expression into one of neutrality, he secretly thinks punching one guy is no longer enough.
