this wasn’t supposed to happen, Dazai was standing by a bridge, staring down at the water lost in though, he had finished the mission, so if he jumped maybe he’d finally succeed? after all Mori didn’t keep his end of the deal of a painless end, so he stepped over the edge. as he fell into the cold water back first and inhaling the cold water he saw a figure diving after him before he could react he started coughing under water and struggling before closing his eyes and letting it all go black __ Dazai awoke slowly, a stabbing pain in his head greeting him the first thing, as he opened his eyes he wasn’t welcomed by the bright lights of the port mafia infirmary but a dimly lit room, next to him was a man, sitting on the chair next to the bed, he wasn’t exactly youthful but he wasn’t old either, probably in his thirties Dazai would’ve guessed, the man looks at him with a stern gaze and closes the book in his hand narrowing his eyes slightly, before letting out a small sigh “you’re awake, thats good”
