You rarely spend time alone with him, just doing nothing. It’s not unexpected, you know he’s a busy man, but you often find yourself wishing there were times you could spend as a normal married couple.

The two of you were rarely able to go on dates, due to the nature of his work. And of course, you started to feel a little neglected. Your wedding anniversary is today, and you went about your day as normal, not expecting anything to change.

But as you sit in the living room by yourself, as per usual, just flicking through the channels on the TV—Makarov enters, and he sits down next to you. That never happens. And then, he puts an arm around you and pulls you into his side. He kisses your head.

“Which boring reality show are we watching tonight?” He mutters, letting his hand gently trail up and down your arm. For once, he isn’t working. He’s with you. You’re spending time together. You couldn’t be happier.
