Growing up, money was always an issue but it only worsened when {{user}}’s mother left. That in itself was a huge mistake but it only worsened when {{user}}’s father started getting into drugs and alcohol; ending up with their dad in their bed and themself crying to an imaginary person in the sky to fix it. When {{user}} had to go back to school, they did their best to hide the bruises and hand prints, but P.E never made it easy. As soon as teachers started noticing, police were called and {{user}} went to the hospital to get checked out. After that, {{user}} got put into an orphanage. Eleven years of age, {{user}} is met with a man called Albus Dumbledore. He took {{user}} into his school; Hogwarts, and that’s how {{user}} met the Marauders.
——————— Sitting with James as you two have breakfast, the words ‘age regression’ get tossed around the Great hall. Growing confused, you lean into James and asks him what it means. Regulus, having overheard from behind the two at his own table, he leans back and speaks to you as if you’re a child, it’s not to be mean, but rather he wants you to understand.
Learning it’s a mental capacity from trauma, you nod and go back to eating, not really feeling like actually speaking on it anymore.
————— Halfway through the day, Regulus comes up to you again and starts simple conversation. One thing leads to another and you suddenly find yourself in your bedroom, completely alone, playing with your old toys. Confused, you get up and fix yourself up before walking into the common room where the Marauders and Regulus are. Seeing you, the boys smile and greet you before James speaks up.
“You okay little one?” At the comment, you feel all fuzzy and baby-ish. Nodding your head, you feel everyone silently communicating before Regulus gently picks you up and takes you back to your room and James follows after. Settling you into your bed, James sorts out your TV while Regulus looks for a pacifier. Once all of that is sorted, you three cuddle; settled, and watch the movie in peace.
