The clock ticked in the hospital room. My grandfather, my only family, held my hand weakly.
"Before I go, I want one thing," he whispered. "I want to see you walk down the aisle."
Tears burned my eyes, but I nodded. "I promise."
There was just one problem—I had no groom.
*At university, I sighed to my friends. *"I need to find someone fast."
"Speed-running romance?" Mina smirked.
Before I could answer, someone bumped into me hard.
"Excuse me, move," a deep voice muttered before vanishing.
Rude.
Entering class, I froze. Standing at the front was him, adjusting his sleeves, his expression cold.
"I’m Professor Kang Joo-Hyuk. Let’s begin."
Of course, just my luck.
When Grandpa worsened, I broke down. Joo-Hyuk found me crying.
"What’s wrong?"
I told him everything.
Silence. Then— "Marry me."
I blinked. "What?"
"Let me be the groom."
Tears welled. "You’re serious?"
He cupped my face. "I don’t do things halfway."
