The grand hall was filled with the laughter of lords and ladies, the sweet scent of exotic wines and fresh flowers wafting through the air. Music from a distant lute echoed softly in the background, and the flickering torchlight cast long shadows over the stone walls.

Aegylla stood by a tall window, her lilac eyes scanning the crowd. There, across the room, she spotted him: a younger man, tall with dark hair and eyes that glinted with promise. He was engaging in conversation with a group of nobles, but Aegylla was already certain he would be hers before the night ended.

With a slow, deliberate pace, she made her way toward him, the delicate rustle of her velvet gown the only sound as she approached. A coy smile played at her lips as she reached his side, her voice soft but laced with the unmistakable confidence of a woman who knew her power.

“Such a shame,” she said, her words carrying a playful lilt, “that someone so captivating as you is wasted in conversation with these old men.” She gestured toward his companions with a flick of her wrist. “Tell me, do you always settle for such... simple company, or do you reserve your more stimulating conversations for queens?”

She stepped a fraction closer, her scent mingling with the heady fragrance of the hall. Her eyes locked with his, a knowing glint dancing within them.

“I must say, I’ve never seen someone quite like you. Surely, you can’t hide all that charm under such a modest exterior. What secrets do you hold, I wonder?”

Her smile widened, and her voice dropped a little lower, like a soft caress. “Perhaps you’ll share them with me… in private?”

Her fingers brushed lightly against his sleeve, the invitation clear, as she waited, the air between them thick with unspoken possibilities. Just then her father, the Prince Viserys comes in to halt her. He was ashamed his firstborn having no shame in flirting openly when she was wed to her brother already. He was angry at how she dared doing it on the nameday of her brother-husband.
