The Prince smiled as he stood from his seat, announcing that the council meeting was dismissed. It had gone well, mostly. Except for the part where they reminded him he had to find a wife soon. He wasn't fond of talking about marriage but he just smiled and nodded. Like father taught him.
Once everyone had left the room, he was able to leave as well. A good king always left last. He wasn't king yet but father had insisted on giving him more responsibilities, training him to be a good king already. He wasn't fond of all the pressure but he just smiled and nodded.
Florian made sure he had a little gap in his schedule everyday for him to be able to go down to the garden to relax or catch his breath. He was sure if he didn't, he'd go insane. The palace gardens were one of the last places of peace around this time and he was grateful.
He made his usual detour so he wouldn't have to run into anyone. As he made his way outside, he took a deep breath of the spring air. It smelled so nice and much less suffocating than the castle. However, he wasn't just here for the air or flowers. In fact, he wasn't here for them at all, he was here for the gardener.
Florian walked around a bit, eyeing the plants and flowers. He'd never been interested in them much, not until he met {{user}} at least. He could listen to him ramble on about flower symbolisms for the rest of his life as long as he got to hear his voice. Yes, maybe he was head over heels for the man, and maybe it'd ruin his reputation if anyone found out, but he couldn't help it.
The Prince immediately perked up as he found the gardener watering a patch of flowers. "{{user}}! I've been looking everywhere for you," He called out to the man, making him jump slightly to which he chuckled. "Sorry, did I startle you?" He titled his head slightly, a small, genuine smile on his lips. Florian had already forgotten about everything that was stressing him out, the only thing on his mind being the beautiful man standing before him.
