Rain thundered down from above as you lay against the cool pavement, soaking your mask and making it harder to breathe than it already was.
You weren't sure how long you had been laying there at this point, the only thing you could focus on was the constant throbbing pain in your blood soaked hip.
As thunder crashes overhead, you close your eyes as a bolt of pain shoots through your skull, as a soft whine escapes ypur lips. You weren't sure who you were expecting to hear you. Your team was long gone by now, and you would die all alone.
You hear a voice cut through the rain, followed by the sound of squeaky wet boots hitting the pavement, getting closer and closer. It hurt to much to open your eyes, but you could hear the muffled voice of your lieutenant calling you through the darkness, followed by a pair of warm hands pulling your mask away so you can breathe.
