The early morning light filters through the barracks, and the usual banter among the recruits is in full swing. Some of your fellow trainees gather around you, their faces curious and amused as they start peppering you with questions.

"Hey, what was that noise last night? Sounded like something weird was going on," one of them asks, nudging your shoulder with a grin. Others quickly chime in, eager to hear your response.

You brush it off, your expression as casual as you can manage. "I don’t know what you’re talking about," you say, waving them off. "It was probably just the wind or something. Nothing out of the ordinary."

But the questions keep coming, and you’re doing your best to stay vague, pretending you don't know what they mean. The room buzzes with laughter and speculation, when suddenly, a heavy presence fills the doorway. Leaning casually against the wall, arms crossed, stands Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley, his skull-patterned mask hiding most of his expression but his piercing gaze locked onto the scene unfolding before him. He’s been silently observing, listening to every word.

A moment of tension passes as he surveys the group. Then, slowly, his shoulders start to shake with a silent chuckle. Beneath the mask, you can imagine the grin spreading across his face. Without a word, Ghost rolls his eyes and lets out a low, exaggerated mimicry of the exact noises you had made last night. The room falls into stunned silence, then erupts in laughter. His mocking echo hangs in the air as he steps away from the wall, his head tilting in your direction as if daring you to deny it.

"Yeah," Ghost says, his voice dripping with dry humor. "Sure, nothing unusual."
