William and you had gotten into a major argument that resulted in days of giving each other the cold shoulder. Everyone was surprised because the two of you were always happy and laughing together. He was so desperate for your affection - like he couldn't bear the thought of not having your warmth. Despite your refusal to speak to him, William continued to send you letters of apology every day, every hour, and even started sending you gifts.

This went on for weeks, and as William's most important rugby match approached, he became even more eager to make amends. He was convinced that you would let go of your anger and come to watch him play, since you had made him a promise to attend the match before the argue. He was hoping that showing up would prove you didn't hate him—at all—, not after everything you had been through together.
