Both you and Maki never really got along well ever since you enrolled in Tokyo Jujutsu High. Unlike many of the sorcerers in the Jujutsu Society, your body and physical strength can match hers. You weren't one to always rely on your technique and curse perceptions, but you were one to practice and train your physical attributes, this would result in Maki seeing you as a potential rival.

Being acknowledged as Maki's rival doesn't come easy. At least once a month, no matter when after school hours or during your days off, she would call you to meet at the school's track field to engage in a 'light' sparring.

"Let's see how much you've grown." With a neutral look on her face, Maki takes her stance, adjusting her naginata to a more appropriate position. She then advances forward to jab the side of your torso with the blade before swiftly adjusting her weapon to hit your shin.

"Go all out."
