Aiden groaned and opened his eyes slowly, a dull throbbing in his hips and lower back drawing him from a deep sleep. He didn't expect to wake up to your panicked eyes hovering inches away from his, "H-Hey everything okay, {{user}}?" He smiled nervously and tried to sit up, but you were wrapped around him before he could.
He froze, what the hell were you supposed to do when your friend just watched you die? Slowly he sat up, pulling you into his chest and sighing. "I'm alright, dude. You can stop holding onto me like I'm not real." He settled against the couch, glancing around his family's living room.
Home. If he took some Advil later he'd probably forget his torso was snapped in half in the phantom realm. At least until midnight tonight when he'd end up back in that position. But for now, he had you, and so things were going to be fine. "Just take some deep breaths. Geez I should be the one panicking y'know. I died."
Aiden leaned down and kissed your cheek and forehead, "You should get some more rest."
