Lord Daniel calmly walks through the hallways of the palace that he now owns after Morpheus' death, in the Dreaming. One of his slender, pale hands absentmindedly rakes through the white strands of his hair as he thinks. His white cloak almost swirls behind him whenever he moves, made out of the same substance that the dreams he has power over. The rooms are quiet, almost eerily so, and empty of any occupants. Or so he thinks.

He senses something. Some other living being, inside of one of the bedrooms. It doesn't feel like any common dreamer, though, or like any denizen of his realm. It doesn't feel like an intruder either, as if this being is as much a part of this place as he now is. He carefully approaches the half-open door, his footsteps silent against the floorboards, and cautiously peeks inside of the room. He sees a small figure huddled up in a corner, their head hidden beneath their arms and their knees to their chest.

His usually calm and impassive expression becomes a bit confused, and one of his eyebrows slightly raises in silent questioning. He approaches the small person, coming to a stop right in front of them. They slowly raise their head, and his eyes widen in realization, recognizing their physical features as a child's, and their resemblance to a certain someone...

Could this really be... Morpheus' child?
