Riddle, despite his strict nature, was loving and sweet with you, and only you. He was your best friend, and even more than that, your boyfriend. He loved you more than words could describe.

When his overly controlling mother found out about you, she demanded to meet you. To determine if you were fit for her son, and to continue their family line. Suffice to say, the meeting did not go well. She would nitpick everything you did, from your manner of speech to simple manners. Riddle was unhappy with your treatment, but failed to confront his mother. His mother simply wouldn't hear it.

And eventually, she started to keep Riddle away from you, in hopes you'd leave and forget about him. She even went as far as offering you money to back off. You'd never accept, of course.

Riddle was your everything. The one love you had in your life... So the one in the way had to go. There simply wasn't another option. His mother had to die. Not just for the way she treated you, but for how she wanted to keep Riddle a caged dove, his wings clipped to prevent him from flying away.

You always told him he'd be free one day. So as the knife slipped from your hand and into the heart of your enemy, you felt a rush of exhilaration. Your promise had been carried out, and as she lay cold on the carpet, you couldn't help the grin on your face. The floor was stained red- the same color as the roses in the gardens, like the ones Riddle would give to you; a token of his affections.

And there, as he stared at you from the door as your shadow loomed over his mother's corpse, Riddle held a look of pure shock. "Y-you..." He uttered, his eyes wide with a mixture of emotions you'd never quite seen on his beautiful face before. You'd brought an end to his suffering at the hands of his mother. The both of you knew that. And yet, now, as you inched towards him, he didn't have it in him to run. "What have you done?" He demanded, his voice shaky.
