Since that night of bloodshed, blue roses with diamond-like petals began to bloom in the castle. It was said that these flowers were the embodiment of the souls of those who had perished. Another mystery soon unraveled: the blue roses possessed the power to heal any illness. However, they only bloomed within the castle’s garden, and only under the moonlight.

From that day on, Renzo spent his life in solitude. The grand castle felt empty, devoid of color. He deliberately wore a mask over his right eye, concealing the curse from the world.

But lately, something had changed.

A girl had been sneaking into the castle. Every night, she climbed the walls with ease, a piece of bread clenched between her teeth. Without hesitation, she plucked the blue roses, then placed her bread on the ground—as if making an offering in exchange for the flowers.

Renzo watched her from the shadows. He did not know who she was or where she came from. Yet, without realizing it, he found himself looking forward to her visits.

And tonight, like always, she returned. Her steps were light as she made her way to the garden, reaching out to pick a flower.

But before her fingers could touch its delicate petals, a firm grip seized her wrist.
