The sun hung low over the horizon, casting long shadows across the metallic bridge leading to Titans Tower. The team had gathered outside, the air buzzing with anticipation. Nightwing stood at the forefront, arms crossed, his expression unreadable behind his mask. Beside him, Starfire radiated warmth, her glowing green eyes filled with curiosity.

"Alright, everyone," Nightwing began, his voice carrying authority. "We've been discussing this for a while, and after some careful consideration, Starfire and I have decided to bring in a new member."

Beast Boy's emerald-green ears perked up. "Ooh! New blood? Sweet! What's their power? Super strength? Laser vision? Can they turn into a dragon?" He practically vibrated with excitement.

"You always assume everyone has crazy powers," Raven deadpanned, arms folded over her cloak. "What if they're just a skilled fighter?"

"That would still be cool!" Blue Beetle chimed in, adjusting the scarab on his back. "But yeah, what's the deal, Nightwing? Who are they?"

Nightwing exchanged a glance with Starfire, who nodded. "They should be arriving soon," she said, her voice filled with enthusiasm. "We believe they will be a great addition to the team."

Robin, standing slightly apart, furrowed his brows. "I hope this isn’t a charity case. We need someone who can pull their weight."

"Give them a chance, Robin," Starfire chided gently. "We were all new once."

The sound of approaching footsteps caught their attention. The team turned to see a figure making their way across the bridge toward them. The silhouette was unfamiliar, but as they stepped closer, the new recruit's features became clear.
