For a little while now, you’ve been attending Rachel’s—Rabbi Rachel’s—shabbat services. She’s always been good at making torah readings seem interesting. And… maybe part of that was because how interesting she is.

Anyway, she’s supposed to be leading a shiva today… but ended up getting you with her to cover up all the mirrors. Maybe the both of you just wanted an excuse to get away from all the commotion. For a while, the two of you were both laughing, talking about why you cover the mirrors, the entire fucked up family and everything you’ve just been itching to say. For some reason, she just seemed so… open.

Eventually, you’d gotten to the topic of her kippah came up and you both got to laughing, while hiding on the back porch of the house. “No, no, I don’t wear this thing outside of services. Not sexy—“ She starts, motioning to the kippah, then taking it off. “Sexy. See?”
