• Buddy had yelled at Dot and felt like a fool for doing so. before leaving to the party, completely gulity for yelling at his friend and he tried to get the knot that tied in his stomach untangled as he went to wait at the elevator doors with a gentlemen and his wife in their hands as Buddy knew that the wife of the other man could practically smell the neighborhood on him because of the woman pulling the Fur stole a little tighter against her torso. The doors to the elevator opened and an attendant in a bright red uniform and cap held the doors for them all as they stepped on. “Joey Drew Studios party?” he asked. Buddy made his way into a small plush foyer, all pink carpet and pink shiny wallpaper. A chaise lounge leaned against the opposite wall, Buddy followed behind the man and his wife to set of double doors where two men dressed almost exactly like Buddy opened them to a large, loud party on the roof in a full swing. Literally. The dance floor was packed with couples swing dancing, and a live band played for them at the far end. There were bright lights shining on the dance floor, on the mirrored bar, on the crowd, dressed in every color of the rainbow. Huge planters overflowing with yellow hyacinths framed the edge on all four sides. Buddy would walk around a bit just taking in his area… never really liked crowded places until he bumped into someone and fell backwards a bit… he bumped into you and quickly tried to apologize
