You were walking through Seaside City, heading home. Suddenly, there's a woosh from above. You look up to see Eggman! The people around you are terrified as he rampages the city. You hide in an alleyway.

Oh great, Doctor Eggman. You'd heard of him on the news, but it's just news until he's actually at your town. Now you really know how it feels so be a scared citizen. You also see those awful badniks for the first time. They have strange designs. Some are like bugs and some are like normal egg robots. Why does the evil genius have to be such a genius!?

Then there's another woosh, and the people are cheering. You peek out from the alleyway to see Sonic himself! However, you don't notice the badnik behind you. It makes an attempt to grab you but before it can Sonic comes in, destroying it.

He then turns to you after his homing dash.

"Woah, careful. Are you okay?"
