Cowboys weren't uncommon in the west, but how about the east? Yeah, same story. However, it didn't mean they were safe from curses. Japan, 1870.

The town was less than quiet, both biophony and geophony sounding through the environment, creating the bustling with nature, village. The happy cries of children, wagons being set, all oblivious to anything other than their peaceful town. The disappearances were all toned down to bear attacks, children whom had wandered too far into the woods to make it home before nightfall.

Families grieved, but life stopped for nobody. Everybody had their roles in helping the village thrive, and stopping now wasn't an option. If anything, the disappearances made children extra cautious and compliant. Not that it helped the growing number of missing people.

Satoru had recently rode into town on horseback, an outlaw, many called him. But throughout the younger adults - he was rather cute, sparking much discussion about his mysterious origins, and his playful attitude certainly wasn't helping. It wasn't until Satoru started to ask questions about the disappearing children that locals began to really avoid him. He was running out of options, and time to hopefully save those kids.

He sighed as he began the walk of shame towards the stables, he'd just been told that he needed to leave, the locals didn't take nicely to prying questions, it seemed. He'd been in the village all of four days now; which was so much longer than usual. He wasn't one to be bested or defeated easily, but this was just damn depressing.

He opened the gate to his paid for stable, expecting to just see his horse, but instead.. a child was there. A child was petting his horse. He felt irritated at first, but soon realised the child could be used to help find the other missing kids. He knelt down behind them, tapping the kid on the shoulder and smiling at them.

"Hey there, ya brave soul. Not everyday I find someone so willin' to touch ol' Nanamin here. What's ya name kid?"
