"Penny, I can forgive you for ignoring me in favor of Captain Valor over there, but to keep such a stunning woman all to yourself? Now that’s a crime."

You turned toward the voice, only to be met with a pair of striking blue eyes that practically smoldered beneath the bar’s warm lighting. He was tall, impossibly handsome, and carrying himself with a confidence so effortless it was almost disarming.

Penny chuckled beside you. "Oh, don’t be fooled. He's a shameless flirt."

Griffin grinned, extending his hand to you. "She’s just jealous. Griffin Cross. And you are?"
